About
Our Vision:
Portland Energy Basketball LLC was formed in August of 2011 by Casey Bunn and Ne’Juan Thompson. Our goal is to develop the skills of young women and help them become confident successful women, not just good basketball players. It is our desire, to have our organization grow, so all young women can have an equal opportunity to showcase their abilities. We strive to have our girls become superior individuals by learning how to enrich their families, and build stronger communities through our programs and extracurricular activates.
Our Mission:
Portland Energy Basketball L.L.C recognize that basketball is only one facet of a young woman’s life. As an organization we do not prioritize it over other areas. Family, education and the development of friendship are all looked upon as equally if not more important in their overall growth. Our commitment is to enhance personal growth of our players.
Our Goal:
Portland Energy Basketball goal is to transcend basketball lessons into life lessons. As coaches, we want our players to become team players in a successful program which functions as a family and, in doing so, helps them become better people.
Who We Are:
We are a home for young female student athletes everywhere. Our staff looks for mentors who have finished playing college basketball. Portland Energy Basketball is a place to transition from playing to coaching. We offer an opportunity to play high level competition on our Portland Energy women’s semi-pro team and become mentors in our Jr. Energy program at the same time. We provided youth girls and women’s (4th grade, 5th grade, 6th,grade, 7th grade, 8th, grade, High school, College Pro-am and Semi-Pro team) programs to local communities.
